Who's Your Father's Day ?

The day to celebrate the man who brought you into this wonderfully chaotic world. Dad. For me it's a time to thank my grandfather for taking me and my mom into his house before I was born and for becoming my guardian when my mom passed away in 1986. He passed away in the fall of 2001 but had a profound influence on my life. Probably the reason why I have the ingrained chivalrous attitude. I am also proud to be named after him. He was: a husband, boxer, engineer, gardener, fireman, Town of Milton Fire Chief, friend, woodworker, grandfather, and many other things. He hated driving and actually the last time he drove was to make sure that the Sunday paper delivery I had was finished. (Damn you to hell Boston Sunday Globe!!) He got me through my math classes, high school and pushed my to be the best I could in everything I did. So Happy Father's Day to my grandfather, Lewis C. Lyons. Thanks for making me into something you'd be proud of. Remember to either call or visit dad this weekend!!
