End of the Week Notes

A few things about the latest Red Sox series with the Yankees. First of all am I the only one worried about our starting rotation. Between Wakefield and Arroyo those are our only two good pitchers so far. (Granted Schilling had a great outting on Wednesday night.) And remember those two are a knukleballer and a pitcher who is supposed to be in the bullpen.

Schilling's outting looked good. Other than two location mistakes that went for home runs he looked pretty damn good. I'm not worried about our warrior. He'll be money all year long.

As for the right field melee last night involving Gary Sheffield and a fan. First of all never interfere with play on the field. I don't care if it's the Yankees or another team. That fan embarrassed Red Sox Nation by trying to be a typical drunk in the right field seats. Probably not even a season ticket holder but a friend of one who got to sit there for one game. Hey let's make the most out of this situation and make a complete ass out of myself late in the game. Oh here comes Sheffield. If he comes close I'll try and hit him. Yeah great idea. Sheffield outweighed that fan by two to one. Smart plan. Idiot of a fan.

Monday Watercooler

What a weekend in sports, life and news. So let's get started shall we?

Sugarloaf's Reggae Festival was a smashing success. We all seemed to succeed in turning ourselves into drunken messes at least twice in the weekend. Although I didn't get to see the Wailers (tickets sold out before I got there) I was able to listen to the Bob Marley box set a few times. So it wasn't a complete waste. Just a great weekend of drunken debauchery, sex, drugs, and rock and roll/reggae.

And on my Sunday hangover haze filling the brain I witnessed a fantastic Masters Tournament. And if you missed the shot by Tiger Woods on the 16th hole please find it on the internet. (And when you do send me the link so I can post it...)

That is really all I can remember from this weekend. It was hazy. It was fun. And I'm still a bit fuzzy around the edges today...
