Sith

What everyone has been waiting for. My review of Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. The path to the Dark Side for Anakin Skywalker. His lightsaber battle with Obi Wan Kenobi. Samuel L Jackson not going down like a bitch. Space battles. It has everything. This was definitely visual eye candy for everyone in the audience. As Fornya said on the way home almost too much visually to take in at once. This movie is better than the previous ones. Given that the actors are now more comfortable with acting infront of giant green screens and reading Lucas' innane dialogue. Now i probably could go into a tirade about the whole movie but I'd rather let people see it themselves. Overall I would give the movie a B at best. Which is an improvement over the lower marks I'd give the earlier two. So go enjoy and feed the inner geek in everyone. A perfect summer movie to see Anakin Skywalker get burned alive.

Saw the movie in Falmouth and I'm glad we didn't go to the CINEMAGIC in Wells. All we had to deal with were Falmouth High School kids being really obnoxious. Damn cockroaches!!

There's word that there will be another Live Aid concert in London in early July. There is also the possiblity of a simultaneous concert being held in Washington. This one will benefit Making Poverty History and will coinccide with the G8 conference in Scotland. Just rumored for now but this NME report shows that a lot of things are already being worked out.

I love the book "The Da Vinci Code". i think I read it twice. Plus the previous book. Now they are making a movie out of it. Here's the first trailer.

Enjoy the day. 12 hours until Episode 3 kicks you upside yo head!

Lew's Birthday Idea #2

Sony PS3

I also base my choices on games. That's what it's really for. NHL 2006 "Lockout Edition". Can't wait for that one. Or the next generation of first person shooters. With 5.1 surround. On an High Def screen. Oh and I"m posting it as my birthday idea so people can make a fund to buy it for me at Christmas combining two occasions in one! I'm sure these won't be cheap. And is it me or does the wording on the PS3 look like the font for the "Spiderman" movies...

Releasing a breath of relief

Today is a great day. Last week my dog, Timander, had surgery to remove a lump on his leg. The surgery went fine. He's presently bored and relaxing on the bed for the next week due to a required "time out" period from all strenuous movement and exercise. For those of you that do know him, that's nothing new for the walking lunch box. From the doctor this morning came the message that the removal of the cyst was perfect. It was removed completely and the biopsy revealed that the tumor was benign (non-cancerous) and he'll be fine. The stress level just dropped by a few points and he'll be back tunneling between legs and begging for more food in no time.

Returning to the scene of the crime (UPDATED!!)

Well at least close to the scene of the crime. Different venue. Same band. Possibly the same people whom I met that fateful, blackened night. Fortunately I kept the cocktails to a minimum so as to not repeat history. I know frequent readers of this blog will remember the dreaded post from a few weeks ago and know how I was doing following it. This time around all I had were sore legs from dancing and a funny conversation about my t-shirt which read "The Force is Strong with this one"...

Only three days until Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith. The final movie from my favorite series of all time. A midnight show is in my future it is. I may have one or two extra tickets to the show in Falmouth. Any interest shoot me an email @ lforman@maine.rr.com or leave a comment below as they go right to my inbox. (One ticket taken....one remaining...get them while they are hot and buttered!!)

Tony Danza vs. Tony Stewart. Funniest thing. Driving go carts around a makeshift track and Stewart bump drafts Danza causing him to do a barrel roll on his head. What would the world do without the Danza? (Anyone have a link to video of this send it to me...)
