NHL To Return!

Finally the players got off their overpaid asses to get it done. The following from an email from the Boston Bruins:

"NEW YORK/TORONTO (July 13, 2005) - The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association have reached an agreement in principle on the terms of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Details of the new Agreement will not be made available publicly pending the formal ratification process by the NHLPA Members and the NHL Board of Governors.

It is anticipated that the ratification process will be completed next week, at which time the parties will be prepared to discuss the details of the Agreement and plans for next season. No further comment will be made until then."

This winter was dull without hockey games....

Random Thoughts

Turn signals when changing lanes. This has become a lost art.

Lance Armstrong going for another yellow jersey. Let's face it once he leaves cycling who cares who wins the Tour de France?

Bobby Brown's new show on Bravo. It's gonna be fun to watch the trainwreck of a relationship turn into more of a trainwreck. And you get to see it weekly!!

Baseball at the half. Red Sox in first. Schilling coming back in the bullpen. One wonders if Foulke didn't have the issues with finding a strike zone would Schilling come back as a starter. Which I believe is what we are paying him to do. But he says he's doing it for the team and I truly believe him.

New music to check out. Kaiser Cheifs and Razorlight. Great UK bands. Check out iTunes for the previews.

Condominium shopping is a royal pain in the arse. I wish all the places had pictures galore and virtual tours. Then you could do all your shopping online. Drive around the areas where your favorites are to make sure you're not in a shady neighborhood.

That is all. Off to the Double AA All Star Game at Hadlock Field in Portland. Stumbling distance. Is it acceptable to heckle during an All Star Game? Good thing Kenny Rodgers isn't pitching.
