Dear Mother Nature,

I would like to make a personal and slightly universal request to end the rain due to over bitchiness that ensues from the Boston commuting public.

Due to the enormous amount of rain that has dropped the last week here in the Northeast we feel like we need some time off from the rain and clouds. And I personally need time off from hearing the people bitch about the rain and how hot it is in the train. (And if it's not the heat then it's the cold. People you live in New England. We have...SEASONS..)

If you are mad at us for completely fucking with your ecosystem and pretty much destroying in 100 years what you created in a few hundred centuries, then I apologize for the human race. We're sorry. We had no idea. (Well we had an idea but we have politicians who have lobbyists with a lot of money and a lot of conflicting and ill convieved environmental laws.)

But we've had enough rain. We would appreciate some sun this weekend. Actually we'd like a full week or more of nothing but good springtime weather. My dog would appreciate it.

Sincerely,

LGF

Monday Factoid

On Wednesday of next week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

Apparently that won't ever happen again.

Should keep you "oohhh-ing" and "ahhh-ing" until I can get my Red Sox Opening Day rant formulated.

Malaise

I really don't have much to say today. I know it's a first but sleeping has been an issue the last few nights. Last night I don't know if I got a solid 3 hours of sleep. I probably got more but it didn't feel like it when WFNX blared Franz Ferdinand in my ear. Great song. But when the clock is reading 6:43 it can be a bit annoying. But I digress. It's been a long week of little sleep and it may be catching up with me.

The only articles of note that I found on the train ride in to the office today were that Maria Sharapova and Andy Roddick dating. Which I think is great for tennis. Being a former tennis pro I have seen the game go from the grace and style of the 70's and 80's (now i'm dating myself..) to the power game of the 90's and beyond. It's a dying sport and needs some infusion from these two. And besides Andy is dating one of the hottest women on the planet. Period.

Clerks 2 teaser trailer. If the first one didn't annoy or anger some part of your psyche. I'm sure that this will. Besides I'm dying to see what Star Wars movie is going to get picked apart in this one. Extra points for the dramatic return of the dynamic duo, Jay and Silent Bob. Pack of wraps my brothah man. Time to kick back, drinks some beers and smoke some weeeed...

Southern Hospitality

As the south deals with Hurricane Katrina, this little tidbit came across my screen during a break in packing. Play this in low volume if you are at home. FOX News get's F-Bombed LIVE!! Personally I hate FOX news.....

Fuzzy Yellow Balls

I like this time of year. Baseball races are heating up. Preseason Football. Golf. And The US Open, the final Grand Slam tournament of the year. It means that for two weeks if there is nothing on (and there isn't) that there is always a tennis match to watch. If you're not a player or a fan you should still check it out. See Agassi (maybe his final appearance), Roger Federer (world #1 and this decade's Pete Sampras), Andy Roddick (to see if he can win again), Maria Sharapova (just because.....sigh), and a ton of amazing talent. Starts tonight on the USA Network.

Only four days left until the relocation to Webster Street in East Boston. So far so good. Now ifI could only box up the rest of these things I'd be in good shape. Tape. Boxes. Marker. All I need...

Was It Too Early

The last two nights I've been captivated by The National Geographic Channel's show Behind 9/11. I don't know if anyone else caught the show but how did you feel about the show? It was very interesting to see how things developed but the images of the World Trade Center being hit and then crashing made for a tense last hour and a half of the show. However within all the horror, true stories about some heroes that saved a lot of people from death. So what do you think?

Maybe He Does Know Best

I admit it freely. I am presently sucked into this VH1 show called Hogan Knows Best. Yes it stars the Wayne Gretzky of Wrestling Entertainment. Yeah it's all staged stuff but I remember the Hulster era of the WWF. He was just money. Now he's doing a reality show about his life and his family. And I have to say he's a great dad. I mean it probably isn't bad to be the kid of a world famous entertainer. He's good to his wife. And not only that but the cameo's in the show are outrageous. Mean Gene Oakerland. Seargant Slaughter. Rowdy Roddy Piper. Only one missing was George "The Animal" Steele....

I thought he was bluffing....
